In donating to the Twilight Foundation, you are helping to ensure the legacy of the Athens Twilight Criterium, long considered the premier professional criterium in the United States. In addition to assisting us with the production and promotion of the event held annually in late April, your donations help the Twilight Foundation pursue other initiatives set forth in our mission statement.
Use of donations made to the foundation could include:
- Endowing the Twilight Foundation to ensure that future generations are able to enjoy the event that so many of us have come to love.
- Expanding helmet safety programs, making this program a year round effort that reaches more young people.
- Promoting the health benefits of cycling and routine exercise among young people.
- Support for high school cycling programs.
- Increase prize money and provide support for the professional cyclists who compete in our main event, the men’s and women’s professional criteriums.
